Created a side-scrolling 2D platformer with the theme "Controlling more than one" in 48 hours for EGaDS High Score Jam in a team of 5 people.
Won 2nd place overall, 1st place in art, 2nd place in gameplay, and 2nd place in audio.

Design Process
Use the theme: Controlling More Than One
Pitched the idea to create a 2D platformer where the player can change the music of the game, which in turn changes the skill they can use: the player controls music and the main character
Use the theme: High Score
Decided to add a score mechanic based on the items collected and time spent to clear the game
Decide the Skills
Brainstormed the skills that could be implemented with the music change within scope: Crouch and jump
Decide the music style
Brainstormed the music style that could fit the respective skills: slower, flowy music and faster, bouncy music

What went well:
We were able to create a functioning game within the short jam timeframe.
Obstacles:
We realized that some elements were harder to implement than we expected, like the music change, so we had to drop some design mechanics.
Not everyone was on the same page about the game mechanics and the scope.
